Anthony Spencer

Anthony Spencer served as Vice President of Tancil Logistics, LLC, the company at the center of a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme. While his professional background — as detailed on his LinkedIn profile — is primarily in administrative and customer service roles, Spencer used the title of “Vice President” to lend credibility to Tancil Logistics during investor negotiations.

According to court filings, Spencer was an insider with knowledge of the company’s operations and was present during key discussions with investors. His involvement played a crucial role in persuading plaintiffs to turn over their investment.

Fraud & Allegations

The lawsuit alleges that Spencer:

  • Was present during negotiations where Deon King and Tarik Floyd made fraudulent misrepresentations.

  • Failed to correct or disclose facts he knew were false — despite being asked directly by investors about Tancil Logistics’ promises.

  • Used his position as Vice President to signal credibility, assuring investors their funds were safe.

The reality was starkly different:

  • No trucks were purchased with investor money as promised.

  • Tancil Logistics never grew beyond a token operation.

  • Investor funds were diverted to personal expenses, family transfers, and Ponzi-style payouts.

Court records confirm Spencer was a co-conspirator in a fraudulent inducement scheme designed to mislead investors.

Legal Fallout

1. Giles v. Tancil Logistics

Spencer was named a defendant alongside King and Floyd in the Texas state case, accused of fraudulent inducement and conspiracy. Plaintiffs alleged that without Spencer’s involvement, they would not have invested.

2. Bankruptcy Filing

On April 21, 2025, Spencer filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the Eastern District of Virginia, citing the plaintiffs in Giles v. Tancil Logistics as creditors.

The filing appears to be part of a broader strategy used by all three insiders — seeking bankruptcy as a way to avoid accountability for fraud.

A Pattern of Fraud

Spencer’s actions were part of a larger scheme with co-defendants Deon King and Tarik Floyd:

  • Deon King – Failed NFL player turned fraudster, raised over $1 million from investors before filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy in April 2024.

  • Tarik Floyd – Found guilty of fraud in July 2025 and ordered to pay $295,002.36 in damages.

Together, these three operated Tancil Logistics as nothing more than a Ponzi-style scheme, using investor funds for personal gain and leaving victims with devastating losses.
